ChatBotKit integrates with Anam to bring lifelike, real-time AI avatars to the front of your agents. An Anam persona handles the human experience - face, voice, and presence - while ChatBotKit provides the agent layer behind it: tools, integrations, datasets, memory, and real workflows. The result is an AI representative that understands context, takes actions across connected systems, and completes real tasks through a natural, face-to-face conversation.

Select an Anam persona, pair it with a ChatBotKit bot, and the avatar streams in real time, listening to the user and speaking your bot's responses as they are generated.

What You Can Do

How It Works

The Anam persona renders and streams the avatar in real time on the front end, while the conversation itself runs on ChatBotKit. As the user speaks, the bot generates responses using its model, skillsets, datasets, and memory, and the avatar speaks them back. Client-side function calling lets the avatar surface information and act on the page during the conversation, turning it into an interactive, agentic representative rather than a talking head.

Setup

From the ChatBotKit portal, open the Integrations section and select Anam. Add your Anam API key, choose a persona, and select the bot you want behind the avatar. You can test the experience directly and embed it on a landing page, in an app, or inside an internal tool.

Practical Uses

AI avatars work well for website concierges that qualify visitors, interactive product guides, virtual representatives, and training or support experiences where a face and voice make the interaction feel natural. Paired with the Recall integration, an avatar can even join live meetings as a participant.
